"Great Doc! Easy to talk to and waited less then 5 mins to see him. Highly recommend"
We have a very friendly, intimate practice with a focus on health prevention and individual tailoring. Our practice is very eclectic and special like the City we live in. We place value on being small and connected. We hope you like us and will consider joining us in your search for more personalized and more meaningful healthcare. Start writing your own new joyful medical narrative here. We would love to see you. Please make sure that in order to insure that the process is run smoothly to change your PCP to me if your insurance requires it. And through it all, have a great and blessed day. If you are looking for an annual physical, please fast for 8-12 hours if you want the blood drawn on that visit. It would make things a lot easier. We are also making our segue towards a Concierge practice. We have added a bunch of things, including a top of the line Laser for skin problems. Whether it is unsightly blemishes, tattoo removal, removing wrinkles, we can do it. For our patients in Bogota, Beijing, Paris, Sydney, Hong Kong, please note we have telemedicine features where you can articulate your medical concerns and other health issues. Please call us if there are any questions on insurance eligibility. We take most insurances.

"Felt like she wanted to administer any test to check out any minor symptoms I had. She was nice, no waiting time."
Bethany Medical Clinic will confirm your appointment. If you cancel this appointment more than 24 hours after the time you booked it, you will be responsible for a no show fee of 40$ from this practice. Dr. Shirin Peters earned her M.D. at New York Medical College and is board-certified in General Internal Medicine. She completed residency training at the Former St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan, with a short stint at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Peters spent the year after completion of her residency training at a private practice in North Carolina. She simultaneously worked at a clinical research company where she acted as Principal Investigator on several large clinical trials. Here she learned about many emerging medical therapies for common chronic diseases, in their final stages of testing before FDA approval. Dr. Peters developed an interest in treatments for obesity through her work experiences so far, both in New York and North Carolina, as well as experiences with the disease entity and its complications in her personal life. She noticed that obesity was either the root cause or an exacerbating factor for many chronic medical problems in her patients. She began to feel that finding an effective way to treat obesity in a person would be the ultimate preventative medicine and would lead to significant improvements in many of their other medical problems. After studying materials from the American Society of Bariatric Physicians and the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine, Dr. Peters observed a weight loss program already established at the practice where she worked. She attended courses

"Dr. Vashit was professional, knowledgeable , a good listener and had a good bedside manner. Unfortunately, she is part of a group practice call Bethany Medical Clinic of New York. Dr Vashit has no control over the following but if she does, she should do something about. The office waiting area was very small (8'x 10"). When I got there were 5 people on that space, imposible to keep 6' apart! We are in a pandemic! I was called to meet the nurse for my vitals. A tiny room with a regular scale (not a professional scale). It was a very cold day. I asked where can I hang my coat, she said, you can put it on the floor. NO hook to hang my coat at the doctors office. When I came out, there were more people on the waiting area. They told me to wait for the blood work. I waiting on hallway bc I felt unsafe, plus I was fasting and ready to pass out."
Dr. Vashist was born and raised in Fairfax, Virginia. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University Honors College where she received her B.S. in biology with a minor in chemistry. She subsequently went on to receive her medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine where she spent two years living on the beautiful island of Antigua followed by two years of clinical training in Brooklyn, NY. She then completed her residency in internal medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School located in Norfolk, VA. Missing the hustle and bustle and diversity of NYC, Dr. Vashist decided to take the knowledge and experiences she gained during her years of training and move back to NY where she now resides with her fiancé. Dr. Vashist takes pride in her ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with her patients and caters to their individual needs in order to provide the most comprehensive and accessible care. Her interests include preventative health, women’s health, and chronic care diseases including hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and arthritis. Outside of work, Dr. Vashist enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, pilates, and experiencing new restaurants and cuisines.
